Complex magazine has reached pretty far for the cover of their Feb/Mar Cover. The photo above is of their cover and the photo below is of 2 of the best, if not thee best, Abstract expressionist painters of our time, Andy Warhol and Jean Michel Basquiat. Both of the artists on the original photo, below, died early deaths which cut their careers short and ultimately sent the prices of their artworks through the roof and past the moon. With this cover Complex magazine is comparing Scott and Rocky to these two greats. Don't get me wrong, I am not trashing neither Scott nor Rocky, but I think this is a little besides itself.
